Toshiba Sattelite M300 and Toshiba Portege M800

Satellite M300 notebook is 14.1 inches laptop from Toshiba. Series that we are testing is PSMD4L-04P00C processors that use Intel Core 2 Duo T8300, DDR2 2GB memory, graphics card ATI Radeon Mobile HD3870 512MB, and 250GB hard drive (!). From these specifications, this series are middle-class notebook, which is also reflected in the price of around U.S. $ 1499. From the results of testing, Satellite M300 shows good performance, although not be regarded to be special.

If it was compared to Toshiba Portege M800, which use the same Intel processor T8300- the performance race is a little bit less as seen from the test results. but the use of independent graphics card makes this notebook can be used for gaming in heavyweight class.

Facilities provided by Satellite M300 are complete. In addition to standard facilities such as WiFi-n, Bluetooth, card reader, and DVD Writer, Toshiba also provides a fingerprint scanner and webcam on this notebook. This Webcam is special because it can be activated for the security by using Face Recognition technology. When we turn it on, the only user can use this is only regeistered user on this notebook.

From the use side, this notebook feels very comfortable. The keyboard button is wide and soft to press making the process of typing feel comfortable. Touchpad is also responsive well, so it can explore the entire screen smoothly. The only problem is the hot feeling in hand pad. it reaches 40 ^o C at full load condition; making little sense on hands. In addition, the weight reached 2.45 kg make this notebook is less ideal to go outside.
